Installation Guidelines
Get PivotFind Working on TradingView
Installation Steps
Select “INDEX:BTCUSD” as the asset to look at.
“INDEX:BTCUSD” is a TradingView asset that tracks Bitcoin’s history from its very beginning (2009). Thus, you can view all cycles up to today.
Please do not use any other asset (like BTCUST on Binance or BTCUSD on BitStamp or similar), as these assets will not show you the full Bitcoin history (2009 till today).
You can select INDEX:BTCUSD just starting typing “IN…” while you are on your chart.
PivotFind is optimized for the “1D” timeframe on INDEX:BTCUSD.
It would not make sense to pick lower timeframes (for example 1 hour, 4 hours or so), or higher timeframes (for example 3 days, or 1Week, or 1 month). Please stick to the 1D timeframe to view cycles well, and to get the most out of PivotFind.
You can select the timeframe on the top-left of the chart.
Now you shall select the BTC PivoFind indicator and install it on your chart. To do so:
- Click on “Indicators” at the top left of your chart
- Type “Pivotfind”, and you will see it (the exact name is: Bitcoin Pivotfind [BTC Cycle Tops & Bottoms])
- If you see the green locker, you can now click on it and it will appear as an indicator on your chart (if you see a red locker, you either haven’t requested access or, if you have requested access, just refresh your browser)
As a standard, TradingView will show you the candles chart. Please click on the button at the top left of your chart to select “Line” view instead of candles.
Candles will disappear, and you will see (most likely) a blue line. We will fix this in the next step.
Just click on the price line twice and a pop-up will show you the current line color (default is blue): set the transparency to 100% by sliding the color to the left side.
At this point, you will see the price line in green, red, or yellow – which are the PivotFind colors to show you the current state of the market (bull, bear, reversal).
This is it. Now you are ready to use the indicator!
Just compare the chart you see after completing all these steps with the charts you see on our videos. If they match, you are good! Otherwise, follow the above steps once again.
